Hotel etiketten van minstens 50 jaar geleden, zij werden op valiezen en koffers geplakt (gekleefd) met kol of eigen gom (zoals een postzegel)
De bagage reisde soms al weken op voorhand alleen en het was dus een hulp voor de postdiensten om zulke duideliike etiketten op de verpakking te vinden.
